what drives you?
this friend once asked me, "Are you going to spend the rest of your life playing games?" i was intrigued that he cared that much. he does very well in his studies and doesnt indulge in activities that he deems a waste of time. i admire that in him. he's disciplined and knows what he wants in his life, and goes for it. he told me a long time ago that american ppl are stupid, and so, if u dont do above average in class....
))this friend has a very positive attitude that really baffles me. she studies hard and works out regularly. she's bubbly, kind and patient with people. she said that if something isnt gonna be the way u want it to be, why gloat? accept your circumstances and weather them through. i was struck. that's just so amazing to me.
this friend is someone i respect. he is so devoted to God, and so musically gifted. i respect him in the way he lovingly treats his gf. he helps her with her coat, he helps her sit at the table, he treats her in a very special way. i really wish i knew him better, as a closer friend. sometimes i feel bad when i think that he doesnt really like who i am, but i guess that's ok.
these 2 persons in my life are amazing. they completely left their comfort zone to go to an unfamiliar place, with no expectations and no concrete plans, only trust in God. he always said, cut fruits, sleep early, do push-ups, drink water, over and over again till my ears fall off. they always believe that there are opportunities out there, and that we didn't have to worry.
this person is almost like my dad. he finds satisfaction in cleaning and vacuuming his car, so much so that he enjoys/wants to do it in the first place. doing housework, going around cleaning, washing. sometimes i wonder what is wrong with him. r u sure you're my age?
ok so what's this all about? well, i dunno. i've come across some amazing people in my life, and i just felt the need to mention them. you did ask for an update of sorts didnt you? well, i wonder sometimes if i could be just a little bit like them, what would happen. if i were left to ask them one question, it would be this: what drives you?
