Mission Spring Break '04: Las Vegas!
Spring break! YESS!! My books will BURN tonight!! muahahaha!!!
kidding.
My trip to Las Vegas was more than just good. It was awesome! Meeting up with Cindy (yay!) was definitely a plus. I haven't seen her for an eternity, well that is if you don't count seeing her on her webcam...which doesn't count of course! Also made new friends in the form of a self-less Indonesian Samaritan called Firman(two nationalities?), a fun and whacko chick (Wendy) and this too nice of a girl whom I wont nickname for fear of insult (May). =P
The plan was to meet up at the airport in Vegas, but I conveniently lost my piece of important info about Cindy's arrival details. For some reason, I thought they flew in from Minneapolis. So here I am at the Las Vegas airport.... I checked the screen for their flight...."ARRIVED".....Oh no! I was supposed to arrive earlier than they! So I rushed to the wrong gate, didn't find them there obviously, then rushed to baggage claim, also couldn't find them. I was thinking maybe they already left for the hotel....die! Wasted my money on a $10 phone card, called Cindy's cell phone, no answer.
Not good, not good...found an online booth, wasted more money to check my mail for her arrival info.....where got Minneapolis.........wanted to hang myself. Apparently their flight got delayed, and they were flying direct from Chicago. So I sat in baggage claim watching commercials for almost 2 hours. kewl.
The mood turned around almost instantly when I saw Cindy. =P Got better when sister turns out to be a joker. Later found out they were all jokers...hahaha...it's a good thing, really. =)
Man, got slammed by a Ms Wendy the first thing we got into the shuttle to the hotel. Oo..nvm, nvm...I'll play Mr nice guy. =P The hotel ran out of regular rooms, so we ended up with a suite, without extra charge! It had a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, and mirrors everywhere for some reason. Bed time you say? No way! The girls got into the jacuzzi almost right away, and Firman was stripping down almost as quick....ok, some exaggeration going on here....hahaha.... wow, three girls in a tub with him, Firman should've been enjoying himself, but I couldnt tell cuz he kept a pretty straight face...hahaha...
I honestly wasn't sure if I should participate, so I stayed on the sidelines, the tub was full anyway. But later, I got in anyway when May and Firman left. Hehehe...Wendy and Cindy duo and me in a tub. Hahaha...got to know Wendy alil better, and after dissing Firman alil and making an ultimate come back (juice anyone?), Wendy left and I got to catch up with Cindy. Man...it was so good to talk to her again. Still as funny and sarcastic as ever, really missed that being here. Too bad she's taken..........kidding! kidding, Keong! honest!! =D
Spent the entire next day walking, walking and more walking. Lots of sights to see, casinos, big hotels and shopping malls. And a lot more walking. Did I mention walking? Cindy and I had trivia questions going on now and then, which took my mind off of walking for a while. Alright, alright...I'll quit it....haha..I think Aladdin was pretty nice with the dessert market or something, probably because it was the first of a list of hotels which had the indoor sky thing going on. Caesar's palace was also nice. I was pretty sure one of the fountains had stone statues that could move periodically. But we didnt get to see it my second time here in Vegas. Ended up like a fool cuz I don't think the rest believed me [ 'cept for Cindy =) ]. But it's true, don't believe ask my mom. =P
We went to the Grand Canyon the next day, and boy was it grand! It was almost surreal, looking like a painting when I saw it. Then we went to an outlet, where Cindy bought me a pair of sunglasses! I totally didn't see that coming (honest Cindy!), hehe..my birthday present. Thanks! It's great! =)
Spent the next morning swimming! Well, not really swim, the indoor pool was about chest deep, but it was a great way to relax. They had a steaming-hot jacuzzi, which Cindy and I had trouble getting in. It was so hot! Wendy and May went in like it was nothing. They're really hot...........blooded aren't they...haha..
The trip came to an end too soon... =( they're really great bunch to hang out with, will definitely want to do it again in the future...ya hear me Cindy?? =P Man, it was sad at the airport, sob..no more Cindy...hahaha..no la, will still see you online, and surely in the near future. It was also great being able to blend in with Firman, Wendy and May. Come back soon Spring Break!

King of the House....again..
They came, they saw, and they left. My parents I mean, hehe..
Yep, parents arrived here in the States last week, and were staying in my apartment temporarily. Not even one week has passed, and now they have their own room some 30 minutes from my place. It was good to see them again. When Kp came to stay for two days, it felt like home again, living under one roof. Yea, mom cooked meals, Dad rearranged the place,etc, etc...(...do i live here anymore...?) :p kidding, kidding...hehehe..the place is nicer now, really...hehe..so yea, I lived like a King those few days... so what, jealous? :p

Christian Vineyard Fellowship 2
We went to Vineyard last Sunday. The whole family i mean, dad, mom, kp, and myself. I asked a friend, Louis, who also goes there, to help give us a lift. The place isn't near, some 20minutes away, almost like my old house to CGMC..hehehe..
I remember the first time i went there. I really liked it. I had a definite one word description to the whole experience. And guess what, dad had the same one too: homely. I could worship God freely, unpressured. The people are really nice, the preaching is good. God is in the house. Mom also liked it, i think..hehe.. Kp said what? awesome church? hehehe...
