Excruciating Pain!
It was the most painful experience I have had in my life. Period. What's that I'm refering to? Why, snowboarding of course! When you look at someone snowboarding, they don't seem to be going very fast, but when you are on the slopes yourself, boarding down the hill....hohoho...you know it's going pretty fast. What makes it scarier for me is the fact that I couldn't control the speed! I couldn't even control where I wanted to go! When I try to turn, I'm almost bound to fall. And what a fall! Ouch! I landed a few times on my knee-caps, and had quite a few landings on my bum. After each fall, I couldn't get up for about half a minute. I'd go, "Oooowwwww......." After a few times, i just didn't have the spirit to do it anymore. I just wanted to go sit by the benches...
I didnt know that there was a place to ski in Missouri, until a friend of mine (Alex) told me about Snow Creek, and it's only a 45minute drive away! It was a Saturday morning, we got up early, and went there just when it opened, so that we could ski the whole day! muahaha...! I thought it wouldn't matter that I was working later that evening, but at the end of the "ordeal", I realized how tired I was, and how extra tired I was going to be after work.
And after all that, you know what? I'm going to Snow Creek AGAIN next Monday!! MUAHAHAHA!! How crazy is that??! Still deciding whether I want to try skiing, or go for the board again...hehehehe....

Campus Crusade
I've been planning to attend a Christian group meeting on campus, but I've never got round to doing it until recently. Yup, I went for a Campus Crusade meeting. It was nice, it was a small group of about 20 people, and I wasn't the only new-comer. They're probably the friendliest ang mo's I've met so far in Kansas City. They were playing a game that day, and it was a battle of the sexes....muahahaha!! and who would have guessed, but at the very end, I was the deciding player, and the guys won!! yeahhh! hahaaha...
Their meetings are pretty short, about an hour every Monday evening. I felt like I just got there, played a game, and soon after, the meeting was over. Apparently, I came late. The meeting started at 7.30pm, but I thought it started at 8. haha! well, I guess I'll be there earlier next time.

Oooohh yea......
I totally forgot about writing about my skiing experience. Oh and kingpui, got some info here that'll make you slap your forehead and say "Aiyahhhh........", because it certainly made me do it. You CAN actually start off with skis first, then change to snowboards later. *pause* Oh yea, bummer! hahaha...
But that wasn't what I did, and I didn't snowboard either. That's right I skiied. Now, now, if you're reading this and thinking, "chehh..not cool also", and you havent tried it before, then you're totally missing out. It's not one bit less exciting than snoboarding. In fact, I find it a lot more fun not to mention a lot less pain...hahaha! It's a lot easier to control and learn, so much so that I was skiing down the more advanced trail on my third try, compared to snowboarding when I spent the whole day on an area they call the "Flatland" *slaps forehead* (alright let me regain some diginity here, it wasn't flat at all ok, it was still steep, it's just what these experts call it).
So, in the end I had a lot more fun; enjoyed skiing much better. However, if I ever go again, I think I might retry snowboarding. =]

Gong Xi Fa Cai!
Happy Chinese New Year! Alright, I want my "angpaus". hehe...
I celebrated the New Year at the place where I work part time. It's actually a chain of restaurants owned by a couple from Hong Kong, so all the workers from all the branches came over to a party they held. They had a group performing traditional Chinese music, served Chinese food (as in China chinese, not Malaysian, still so different... =( ....), and then karaoke. Yep, had to endure one or two singers singing off-key and all....hahaha... =P
I didn't win anything at the lucky draw...darn...was kinda hoping for the digital camera, not that I don't have one, I just like to have them all! muahahaha! and man, I'm going to get myself a camera phone one of these days......MUAhahahaha!
Ok back to the party. Spotted some "cun" Asian chicks there (finally!! haha...just kidding!) But Asian mah, where can go and introduce yourself, not modest at all... =P and they ended the whole thing with dancing until 3am. Dancing as in night club kind of dancing, not Chinese fan dances, ok... =) but I left for home when that started. I had a whole day the next day, and it was already very late.
Total angpau collection: ...one! and hey, I'm grateful =)
