Breakfast at Bo Ling's
Last Sunday, my friends and I went out for breakfast. For the past few weeks, we have been getting together every weekend morning for makan. I really like that, it feels more like a weekend, going and lepak! haha...
here are my housemate Jih Hoe, and myself outside the place we stay.

And we're off to Bo Ling's! (It's a chinese restaurant near where I live)
We had dim sum! expensive man...haha...it was pretty much the same stuff back in Malaysia. The owner is a Malaysian too!
Anyway, Hendra which is the guy on the left with a black sweater, is one of my seniors who lives with Marcus and gang, where Jih Hoe and I bunked in while looking for a more permanent place to stay.
And after that, we just went for a walk at the Plaza. Plaza is the "BB Walk" of Kansas City and much more....hehehe...

Int'l Food & Culture Night
Last Saturday was International Food and Culture Night. About 20 student nationality associations come together for some culture experience. Each association preprares their own national dishes to be sold at the University Center. The Association of Msian students also took part. We made kuih talam, "mok shu gou" (tapioca cake), fried prawn crackers, "tong yuen", egg tarts and sweet potato balls. We didnt cook them all together, each student contributed a dish. I didnt really do much on the cooking part, just helped alil.

"Chinese please!"
I'm now working at a Chinese restaurant, in fact, today was only my third day there. A lot to learn, but slowly picking up, I'm not a fast learner...hehe...
My second day of work was close to a total blunder. I dropped two containers while attempting to clean the fragile holder, ended up with sauce on my shirt. Later, as I removed a plate of appetizer from my tray to the table, a spring roll slipped off and dropped right into the customer's beer mug! Blunder!! The couple laughed it off (luckily!) I couldn't believe what just happened, I thought I was in a nightmare! But, they were light hearted and they didnt mind. Also, there wasnt anyone else looking (it was getting late), so I didnt make a fool out of myself in front of other collegues...haha...
I work on weekend nights, which get really busy. That's probably why I made blunders on that fateful day the spring roll decided to take a dip. However, I was surprised today because, although it was even more hectic, I didn't feel as much pressure, which is a good sign...hehe...
